Who doesn't have questions about garage doors? Everyone does, and we have the answers
Care to learn more about your garage door? We answer a number of questions here.
Can I fix my overhead door myself?
We strongly recommend entrusting repairs to our professional technicians, especially if it involves replacement of garage door parts, such as the springs, tracks and door sections. Not only are we equipped with skills, but also with the tools necessary for safe repair and door operation.
Can I increase the range of my garage door opener?
According to our professional technicians, this is possible. Increasing the garage door opener’s range can be done by adding an antenna extension. This is readily available at electronics outlets online or off. The remote control works by transmitting radio signals to the garage door.
Can I replace individual broken garage door panels?
If you have a sectional garage door, then you probably have interlocking, hinged sections that can be detached or installed. This makes it possible for you to replace each panel if need be. You can get many compatible or same brand replacement panels for all kinds of doors from wooden doors to aluminum ones, making repairs of one or two separate panels economical.
Are garage doors nowadays safe for kids and pets?
Current garage door models are quite safer than those produced in the past. Garage doors produced and installed today have photo eyes that "see" if there are people, children, pets or objects under the door and if there are, then it doesn't close fully and automatically opens. Edge sensors on doors act much like how an elevator door does. They immediately open the door when they hit an obstruction.
